Bomber Harris signed cover

This cover has been signed by Arthur ‘Bomber’ Harris and his German counterpart Hajo Herrmann.

Air Marshall Arthur 'Bomber' Harris remains one of the most controversial military commanders of World War Two. Arthur Harris commanded Bomber Command and was a believer that the bombing of civilian targets, and as a result civilians, would shorten World War Two. Harris commanded Bomber Command during the Allies massive air campaign against Nazi Germany between 1942 and 1945.

Hajo Herrmann was appointed to the Luftwaffe Operational Staff in 1942. Quickly gaining a reputation as one of the leading tactical and operational innovators of the Luftwaffe, Hajo Herrmann was the creator of the Luftwaffe night fighter wing designated Jagdgeschwader 300, nicknamed Wilde Sau (German: wild boar). Raised as a response to the growing threat of RAF Bombers.
