Apollo 9 crew signed photoRR

The crew of Apollo 9, Rusty Schweickart, Dave Scott and James McDivitt on board the recovery ship, U.S.S Guadalcanal.

They were landed on board by helicopter at 12:45pm EST on March 13, 1969 after a successful splashdown at 12:01 p.m. EST. Their Landing point 23deg 12.5min North and 67deg 56min West (Atlantic Ocean) missed the target landing point by a distance of 4.8 kilometers.

The spacecraft was brought on board the recovery ship at 02:13pm.
